Moonlight Serenade Charity Gala at The Rise Benefits Vernon Hospital
Elegant Event Features Auction of 2007 Masters Tickets and First Vintage from The Rise
August 21, 2006, Vernon, BC - The Rise, Okanagan’s premier golf and winery resort, announced today that its first Moonlight Serenade Charity Gala to benefit the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation (VJHF) will take place on the evening of September 8th, 2006. The black tie event will be held high on top its Watermark community and overlooking Okanagan Lake . The Moonlight Serenade Charity Gala will feature the Heartstrings Quartet and The Ritz Melodia Salon Orchestra. The evening also includes an elaborate four course meal, paired with wines by the Wine Maker of The Rise, Tilman Hainle.
A live auction will take place at 8 pm . The highlight of the live auction will be two tickets to the 2007 Masters tournament in Augusta and accommodations at the luxurious Ritz Carlton, Reynolds Plantation. These tickets are especially scarce since tickets for the Masters have not been available to the public since the 1972 tournament. These exclusive tickets will permit the highest bidders to be within 400 feet of all of their favourite golfers, making this a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The evening will begin at 5:00 pm where guests, serenaded by Heartstrings Quartet, will enjoy delicacies presented by Divine Feast Catering. At 6:30 pm , as guests are served their four course dinner, the Ritz Melodia Salon Orchestra will entertain with a Luna Latino flavour. Winemaker Tilman Hainle will pair each course with an Okanagan wine and offer guests an opportunity to sample The Rise Cellars' 2005 strong Merlot and its exotic Ice Wine. Dancing to live jazz music from the Ritz Melodia Jazz Ensemble will follow and attendees can wind down the evening under the glow of the full moon as it glances off the lake. Tickets are available for $150 and tables of eight are available.

Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, the VJH Foundation raises funds for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and its associated residential care facilities. Money raised this year will go towards the purchase of the most urgently needed equipment in all areas of health care including Maternal Child Unit, Emergency, the Operating Rooms and The VJH Cancer Clinic.
