The eyes of Fred Couples don't miss much.

Fred Couples, a past Masters Champion, one of the PGA Tour's most popular players and overall ambassador of the game, has worked in concert with internationally renowned golf course designer Gene Bates for over a decade, fashioning premiere golf courses around the world. Now they are bringing their considerable talents to the Okanagan golf course property at The Rise.

A Signature Course is more than just a name. Fred Couples and Gene Bates are a key part of the decision-making team at major points of construction. Gene’s role is ‘team captain’ as well as golf course designer, working directly with the team. Upon completion of the routing plan, Gene works with the team to develop a tournament-quality yet player-friendly golf course. Details like the design and location of the teeing area and the organic shape and placement of bunkers will elevate the playing experience to international standards.

The Golf Club at The Rise is being constructed by Ian Renton, one of North America's most respected golf course builders, whose accomplishments include Greywolf Golf Course in Panorama, British Columbia, which Golf Digest recently named the #1 course in B.C.  At The Rise, Ian’s team has worked with the land, allowing natural features to shape the experience, and creating a course which, from the first round played, will feel like it has always been there.
